SHORT FILM “THE CONJUGACY”

Lonely 12-year-old Girl, thoughtfully walking along the railroad. She meets a handsome 18 year old Guy who seems to be lost in the woods. The Guy decides to join her and find out who she is and what she hides in her suitcase.

The Girl tells him stories from her difficult life, full of sadness and fear. She opens to him the world of memories of her family, through fantastic images..
Each of the stories involves the Guy in its own original atmosphere, opening the doors to a child's fantasy for him, which is able to transform familiar forms and events into metaphorical symbols.

But suddenly, the Girl runs away. Having caught up with her, the Guy finds out what could bind them...

Is it possible to change your path? Is it possible not to follow the “script” written in the past, saturated with sadness, pain and loneliness, but to accept the past as an experience and find your way, building your destiny anew?..

A film on the "eternal theme" about how difficult it is to choose your own path without relying on the experience and fate of others, even very close people..

The dramatic fairy tale, on the motive by Tennessee Williams’ play "This Property is Condemned" and with an original script, is an unusual symbiosis of theatrical production with cinema, it is a metamorphic mixture of drama, fantasy, author's cinema, in which there are no boundaries of a certain era, time and place.

DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHY - ANASTASIA KALINOVSKAYA

Anastasia Kalinovskaya is a theatre and film director, actress, acting teacher, contemporary artist.

Born in Moscow (Russia). She studied at the "State Academy of Slavic Culture" with a degree in "Theatre and film Actor. Theatre Director. Acting Teacher" and at the "Moscow State University of Culture and Arts" with a degree in "Theatre Director".

She has been working in the theater since 2003. She played many different roles in performances of different genres and plastic performances. She was the host of major concerts. She taught acting, stage speech, voice and breathing, the basics of stage movement and plasticity.

Since 2010 she has been working in the field of contemporary art and has created a series of experimental paintings in various genres. Participated in various exhibitions of paintings, organized large personal exhibitions with theatrical performances that enhance the audiovisual perception of the exposition, including using AR technologies (augmented reality).

In 2019, she began work on her debut film project.

This is the first independent experience of creating a film script, financing and step-by-step organization of the entire film process: from idea to post-production.
